    BEST WORKOUT EVER!
    Total mins: 57 minutes 27 seconds
    In The Zone: 47 minutes, 27 seconds
    Cals burned: 370
    Average heart rate 149
    highest heart rate: 181
    Fat burned: 70%

    370 calories! I pushed myself the hardest ever, it was well worth it! Almost doubled my calories burned from when I first started cycling in December 2010.

    I had to change my settings in my heart rate monitor since I had recently lost some weight, so now I have to push harder to get to at least 137 for my heart rate. Well worth it!

    And with still being sore today, I went to the gym tonight at work! Yay go me! I handled it too! …I’m sure I’ll be sore tomorrow. Haha Think next week I’m gonna go up on the shoulder press. Tonight I went up on the leg press.. :)

  • Fitness Log: October 17th, 2010

    YES!! I finally made it to the gym again. haha Trying to stay on task since I need to tighten & tone up for MY WEDDING in 6-5 months! Sunday was a rather easy, ease into it kind of workout but BOY HAVE I BEEN SORE!! I'm STILL SORE!! Below is what I did:

    Leg extensions 3/12 52lbs
    Chest press 3/12 63lbs
    Shoulder press 3/12 49lbs


    The ones in orange is what I went UP in. I did the crunch machine [front & sides] & also [don't know the proper name for it...] But it's for the back & sides. Did that too. That must be why my abs & sides are so sore! hahahah

    So what do you guys think? I wasn't trying to be creative in my prints, was just doing the assignment. But you'll see in the next few assignments, I am actually thinking more about my prints. I still like these those. The under the pier shot is always a favorite of mine. One of my favorite photographers does the same one, in black & white too! :D

  • The <3 of my LIFE asked me to be his WIFE!

    It's officially official! The long await moment is here! I'd like to introduce you to someone...the future Mrs. Sara Marino! :D That's right ladies & Gentlemen, Aaron has proposed to me! We are engaged to get married by the summer of next year (hopefully!).

    It was so cute how he did it! We were at Huntington Beach looking for shells to take pictures of so we were walking the beach..Aaron made us walk to Tower 9 because  9 is our #. [Aaron's birthday is on the 9th & he asked me to be his gf on January 9th, 2005] So we were walking around looking for shells, Aaron bent down & put the ring & a huge shell (that he got earlier in the day) in it in the sand. I saw the shell & was all "wow look at that shell!" Then I saw the ring & was all thinking someone left their ring inside [lol] But then it all made sense when Aaron got down on 1 knee & asked me to be his wife!! :D

    So since I know people are going to ask...it's the million dollar question after someone gets engaged after all, we are planning April 9th or July 9th of next year! [haha told ya the 9th is our #!]

    The first ring Aaron bought me on our first Valentine's Day in 2005 had a sapphire stone in it so he wanted to put sapphire in my engagement ring. I LOVE IT!! :D

  • Fitness Log: October 5th, 2010

    Fitness Log: October 5th,I went to the gym on Tuesday & lifted weights after taking Lucy for a run. I didn't do the usual that I usually do at the gym because it was just so crowed & it's a small gym to begin with. I haven't been to the gym in FOREVER!!!! And I somehow deleted the note in my phone about what I was lifting so I had to figure it out on my own...since it was so long since I have lifted I am not as strong as I used to be. lol The #s in pink & bold are the ones I went UP in. The one that is italics and bold means I went down in. :/ Then I went for a walk in the park with Lucy & my friend Cindy & HER Lucy. Only thing is I don't get around to going to the gym till 7:30pm..that's way so late especially when I wanna be in bed by 10pm. Doesn't leave me anytime for anything else! Grrrr. So I'm trying to work out a new schedule. My friend's moving so I won't be taking Lucy for a walk right after work [it'll be too dark anyway] so then I can just go tot he gym straight from work. So tonight when I got home from the walk, I just worked out in my room. I did ab exercises on the ball & lifted weights. Also the crunches exercise.

  • Fitness Log: August 26th, 2010

    So I went to the gym today! I told myself I was going to go up on the leg curl but I forgot to...but I DID remember to go on on the lat pulldown. Went up to 66lbs! And I think I wanna go to on the leg press next week.

  • Gym

    So recent gym fails have lead me to getting back on track at the gym. I haven't had the proper equipment (clothes, lock, etc) But I am working on staying on top of that. And making sure that doesn't become a reason for not going to the gym. I went to the gym on Tuesday. No change in my weights. But was sore since I hadn't been in like 2 weeks (!!!!). Even though I was still sore on Thursday, I went to the gym. Felt good. I did everything. And even went up on some weight machines! I feel the muscles in my calves getting stronger. Haven't noticed a different in my "left over skin" under arm area [as I like to call it lol]. But I am working on that. That's one of the machine weights I went up in! I will show you below with the usual chart. lol What I need to focus on [& really haven't been] is doing more stomach exercises. Like when I get home I need to use my Swiss ball & do some crunches. I have a whole poster of exercises to do with that ball & haven't tried ANY of them. :/ & those exercises from that video I posted...I'll have to post again.

  • Gym Fail turns into gym victory!

    That's right. Fail turns into victory. That's a switch huh? So if you read my last entry so heard about my gym fail on Tuesday. Well Thursday wasn't quiet so bad. It started out bad though. I wasted 20 minutes in the locker room trying to do the darn locker combination! It still wasn't working. Even with the right code. So I gave up. I went to the front counter & asked the guy there where the locks were that I could buy. Telling him about my lock. I asked him to give it a try. Still nothing. So I picked a lock to buy but then the guy was so nice!! He told me that those were "cheapos" & to use his key lock today. So I did! I was soooo happy! It was SO nice of him! Then while working out on the lat pull, another 24 hour fitness guy helped me with my form, telling me I'm gonna pull something by going down so far. I gotta say, Thursday I was VERY impressed with them! AAAAANNNNDDDD to top it off I have LOST some weight! Down 3 1/2 lbs! Hey it's a start right? And I have one of those scales that finds your body fat as well. I'm down 1%! Which means I only need .5% to take me out of the "obese" category (yes, I really am in that category) to the "acceptable" one. How happy does this make me? EXTREMELY!! It's Friday, I'm happy all around but this is just the icing on the cake!

    In case anyone is interested, here is the chart for your body fat:

    Women:
    Essential Fat: 10-12%
    Athletes: 14-20%
    Fitness: 21-24%
    Acceptable: 25-31%
    Obese: 32+

    Men:
    Essential Fat: 2-4%
    Athletes: 6-13%
    Fitness: 14-17%
    Acceptable: 18-25%
    Obese: 25+

    This weekend I will discuss what I did at the gym, didn't do & what weights I went up on. Yes I went UP! But for now, it's date night so I'm OUTTA HERE!!!
